On June 29, 2017, Clarence J. Rappold Jr., age 96, beloved husband of the late Harriet W. Rappold (nee Rosenberger); beloved uncle of Charles H. Bell and Diana Lee Alexander; brother-in-law of Thelma Rappold; also survived by many other relatives.

Visiting at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road (Overlea), on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 1 pm. Entombment Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Those desiring, donations may be made to Seasons Hospice at Franklin Square, 9000 Franklin Square Drive, Baltimore, MD 21237.

Life Story for Clarence J. Rappold Jr.

Clarence Rappold passed on the morning of June 29, 2017. He passed in his home peacefully with his nieces “Bobby and Kam by his side. He is predeceased by his loving wife Harriett W. Rappold (nee Rosenberger). He is survived by his sister in law Thelma Rappold and her sister Gloria Rosenberger, nephew, Charles H. Bell and niece, Diana Alexander and many relatives.

Clarence was born December 17, 1920. He worked at Bethlehem Steel Corporation from 1940 until he retired at the age of 52. Clarence and Harriet were married for 65 years. He served during WWII for 2 years in the Navy from 1944 to 1946. Clarence had the love of working with his hands. His hobbies included carpentry, train gardens, furniture, and stained glass lamps and his 54 ‘ yacht. The yacht that he built, took them to many ports across the waters for many years.. Another passion was his motor home, that took them across the country for 25 years. They managed to wind up in Florida for the winters.

He lived a very blessed life and will truly be missed.
